THREE WAYS IN
Take a screenshot of the holdings tab in any broker app or web portal. Equivest reads the rows off the image — symbol, quantity, average cost — and shows them for review.
Copy the rows from your CDC statement or broker trade ledger and paste. CSV, TSV, pipe or whitespace — header rows are skipped and thousands separators handled. Up to 10,000 rows.
Tap a stock and it logs at market price with your last-used share count. Long-press to edit. The fastest path for the trades you make from today onward.
HOW IT WORKS
Screenshot your broker’s holdings screen, or copy the rows from a CDC or broker statement. Any broker. No account link, no password.
Equivest turns each row into symbol, quantity and average cost, checks every symbol against the live PSX list, and shows the result. Untick anything that looks wrong.
One confirm logs the lot. Your P&L, weighted-average cost and sector exposure are on screen — about thirty seconds after you started.
WHAT IT READS
Symbol, quantity, average cost. Dates are optional — ISO or day/month/year — and default to today if missing.
SYMBOLS
Tickers like HUBC, OGDC or LUCK — validated against the real PSX symbol list. A row that does not match a listed symbol is flagged, never guessed. CDC statements print full company names; those are mapped to their tickers for you to confirm.
QUANTITIES
Your share count per holding. Where the screen also shows a market value column, quantity × price is checked against it so a misread digit stands out on the review screen.
AVERAGE COST
The average price from your broker’s portfolio screen or trade ledger. A CDC statement carries no prices, so a holding without one is labelled “cost unknown” rather than shown with an invented gain — add the cost whenever you find it.
ACCEPTED FORMATS
Screenshots of any holdings screen · pasted text or an uploaded .csv, .tsv or .txt · comma, tab, pipe or whitespace separated · one holding or trade per line as SYMBOL SHARES PRICE [DATE] · soft warning at 500 rows, hard cap at 10,000.
WHAT IT NEVER DOES
No username, no password, no OTP. You stay signed in to your broker; Equivest only sees the rows you choose to show it.
Equivest is a tracker, not a broker. There is no execution path anywhere in the product — nothing you do here touches your account.
A screenshot has to be read by an AI vision model to find the rows, so the image is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for that one request. Neither we nor they keep it: nothing is written to disk here, and what remains is the list of holdings you confirmed on the review screen. A CSV or a copied table never leaves our own servers — use that if you would rather it did not.
Every parsed row goes through the preview first. Nothing reaches your portfolio until you tap confirm — and you can untick any line.
INSIDE THE APP
Sync straight from your broker.
Any of them. Screenshot import reads the holdings screen, not a broker connection, so it works with every PSX broker app or web portal that shows your symbols, quantities and average cost. If the screen shows it, Equivest can read it.
No. The CDC statement is a custody record: it lists each security and the quantity you hold, but no purchase price or date. Import it to get your symbols and quantities in, then add average cost from your broker’s portfolio screen or trade ledger. Until then the holding is labelled “cost unknown”.
Every parsed symbol is checked against the live PSX symbol list. A row that does not match is flagged on the review screen instead of being saved as a phantom holding. You can correct it or untick it before anything is logged.
Paste or upload up to 10,000 rows in one go. The preview warns you past 500 rows because it gets slower to scroll, but it still works.
No. You can build a watchlist, follow the market and use the tools without any broker account. When you do hold shares, import is the fastest way to bring them in.
Yes. Screenshot import, statement paste and Smart Log are part of the free core, with no row-count paywall.
