Visibility levels in Equivest
Four ways to control who sees your portfolio. Switch anytime, preview as a visitor before committing.

Equivest has four visibility levels — pick what fits your comfort.
Public
Everyone sees everything: holdings, return %, Rs amounts, posts, followers. Default for new users. Best if you’re learning out loud and want to attract followers.
Percent only
Returns shown as percentages, but Rs amounts and the holdings list stay hidden. Other users see “you’re up 23% this year” without knowing whether that’s on a Rs 50K or Rs 5M portfolio.
Best if you want to share wins without revealing your wallet size.
Followers only
Same as public, but only visible to people you follow back — the trusted-circle mode. Until cross-account following is live, this level behaves as Private: nobody but you sees the portfolio.
Private
Your profile + bio + handle remain visible, but the portfolio and posts disappear behind a “this profile is private” wall.
Best if you just want to track for yourself and have no interest in the social side.
How to change it
Settings → Privacy → Profile visibility → tap any of the four cards. Changes commit instantly.
Preview as a visitor
On your own profile, a banner appears at the top showing your current setting. Tap the PREVIEW button to see exactly what others see under your current level. Tap EXIT to return to your own view. Use this any time you want to sanity-check.
Privacy mask (separate)
There’s also a global privacy mask that’s independent of visibility level. Settings → Preferences → “Hide amounts by default”. When on, every Rs value across the app shows as “Rs •••” while percentages stay visible. One tap to toggle. Default is on — your privacy isn’t opt-in.
Frequently asked
Does visibility affect the social feed? Right now, no — posts are public regardless. Per-post visibility is on the roadmap.
Can I see who’s been viewing my profile? No. We don’t track that.
Does private hide me from search? No — your handle + bio are always discoverable so people can find you. Only the portfolio/posts hide.
